Super Socks giveaway result!

Thank you so much to everyone who took the time to write a comment in the giveaway post about who they would knit socks for a why.  I have loved reading all of your comments – some made me laugh and others brought a lump to my throat, but they are all wonderful and I wish you could all win!

I’d also like to thank everybody who’s bought a copy of the book so far – it’s been quite amazing to see pictures of it as it’s been delivered around the world, and I hope that it’s going to be a really useful tool in helping more people to discover how easy it is to knit socks.

It was pretty exciting when this pile of them arrived at my house too …

… giveaway copies, review copies, gift copies (including one for my cover designer who’s going to be able to take it to her university interviews as evidence of her skills).  There may have been a bit of happy dancing when the box was opened! 🙂

One of those books might be for you, too, so without any further ado … let’s get back to the draw.  I decided that the fairest way to hold the draw was to use this nifty little gadget (and because I’m quite pleased with myself for being able to add it to my page!).  Each original comment has been numbered from 1 to 74 and the widget has chosen the winner for me.

And as you can see, the winner is comment number 8 made by JoJo who wrote:

“Congratulations, you should give your self a huge pat on the back!! What an achievement!  I’d make my 16 year old son a pair as he is joining the Royal Navy in a couple of months. They will keep his toes warm and show him he is much loved :)”

Congratulations, JoJo!

I promised that I would send the copy of the book to anywhere in the world, and I will be doing that as soon as I have some address details (unless the winner wants a Kindle copy which will be a download) so JoJo, please get in touch so that I can organise getting your copy of the book to you.

Thank you again to everyone who entered, and I hope that you will still knit socks because I know that all of those people in your comments would very much appreciate them!
