Welcome to the Winwick Mum knitting patterns page!
Whether you are knitting your first pair of socks or your 100th pair of socks, there are plenty of knitting patterns for you here – and not just socks either – you’ll find shawls, cowls, hats, mittens and other accessories too!
IMPORTANT NOTE: My own patterns are either free or for sale ONLY on Ravelry, Payhip and here on the blog. I do not sell finished Winwick Mum products and all my paid-for patterns are £4.50. If you see a website offering finished products or more expensive patterns DO NOT BUY THEM. They are scam websites and will steal your details and your money. If something pops up whilst you’re trying to download a free pattern, DO NOT GIVE YOUR BANK DETAILS as this is an ad and nothing to do with the Winwick Mum pattern.
Click the buttons below to jump to pattern sections – I’ve written a lot of patterns now! (This page is still being updated so the layout style will vary.)

Christmas
Every year, West Yorkshire Spinners produces a very special Christmas yarn and I am very proud to have been asked to design a pattern to go with these socks every year since 2017! As you will expect, there’s a story behind each of these knitting patterns and the Christmas yarns, plus information on the designs and how they are knitted, including close-up photos of the patterns themselves. You can find this on the blog post to go with each pattern – just click the picture to get to the post. Some of the patterns are free and others are part of a special Christmas sock pattern book which was published in 2020 and features seven (yes, seven!) patterns.
