Super Socks (before November 2023 update)

Page 30  “Change back to the 2.50mm DPNs that you used to start off your cuff” should read “change to 2.50mm DPNs”.

Page 33   Photo should be as below (current photo shows needle going into the back of the stitch to begin SSK, not the front):

Page 56   Photo should be as below (current photo shows needle going into the back of the stitch to begin SSK, not the front):

Page 95  6ply pattern  “For example, if knitting a man’s sock I would cast on 64 or 68 stitches”.  This should read 52 or 56 stitches.  (But it’s best to check with the Sock Stitch Calculation on page 20!)

Page 62    Drunken Cable socks

There is an M1 increase missing on Round 7 for all sizes of the socks.  I have given the written instructions below, along with the updated chart – I have highlighted the missing increase in red to make it easy to update your pattern.

64 sts – left leg

Round 7: K5, P1, K3, P1, K1, K2tog, P1, K3, P1, M1R, K6, (P1, K3) twice. 

64 sts – right leg

Round 7: (K3, p1) twice, K6, M1L, P1, K3, P1, SSK, K1, P1, K3, P1, K5. 

 

68 sts – left leg

Round 7: K5, P1, K3, P1, K2, K2tog, P1, K3, P1, M1R, K7, (P1, K3) twice. 

68 sts – right leg

Round 7: (K3, P1) twice, K7, M1L, P1, K3, P1, SSK, K2, P1, K3, P1, K5.  

 

72 sts – left leg

Round 7: K5, (P1, K3) twice, K2tog, P1, K3, P1, M1R, K8, (P1, K3) twice. 

72 sts – right leg

Round 7: (K3, P1) twice, K8, M1L, P1, K3, P1, SSK, (K3, P1) twice, K5. 

 

76 sts – left leg

Round 7: K6, (P1, K3) twice, K2tog, P1, K3, P1, M1R, K8, P1, K3, P1, K4.

Split Mittens

Round 13 should read:

Round 13:      K [14:16], M1, K9, M1, slip marker, K [14:16].   ([39:43] sts)

 

Right hand

Round 2 should read:

Round 2:    K12 [14:16:18], (K2, P2) 2 [3:3:4] times, K2 [0:2:0] end of round.  Repeat this round three times (4 [4:5:5] rounds of rib).

 

Errors on pattern downloaded before 20.11.22 – please download a new copy.

 

Sofa Snuggle Socks

Round 4 of Stripe Socks toes should read:

Round 4:  K one round, place marker at 22 [24:26:28] sts ready for toe decreases.

 

Row 1 of Zig Zag Socks heel flap should read:

Row 1:    K2, (Sl1, P1) until you have 20 [22:24:26] sts on your needle, Sl1, K1, turn. 22 [24:26:28] sts

 

Alexander Socks (WYS Christmas 2023)

The instructions for the T4F and T4B cables are the wrong way round and should read as follows:

T4F        Slip the next 2 sts onto CN and hold at front of work, K2, then P2 from CN

T4B        Slip next 2 sts onto CN and hold at back of work, P2, then K2 from CN
