As the sun goes down

The dog has decided that an evening walk is essential for a dog of his age and sensibilities, and likes nothing better than to walk in the fields at the edge of the village, rolling in the long grass that grows along the footpath and jumping up to see over the barley that is apparently one thing that has loved all the rain and has shot up!  Above our heads, skylarks and lapwings wheel and call, and although it’s not a long walk, the dog is beside himself with delight at the smells and I have been enjoying the extra fresh air more than I expected (he wants to go out when I want to sit down at the end of the day!).  I hope you enjoy our views too!
