Blogtober 2023 : Day 15

A clear blue autumn sky above green trees

Look at that sky!

Ha!  I bet you thought you were on the wrong blog for a minute, didn’t you?  It’s been a good few days since I’ve had a blue sky to show you!  It was blooming cold this morning as well, despite the sunshine.  We’ve had our first frost – only a light one and none of the plants seem any the worse for wear, but I was surprised to see it on the leaves …

Frosty green leaves

Oh, and the pebble pool has cleared too, so here it is with the coloured pebbles in amongst the bigger white cobbles.  And some grass from when it was cut the other day.  I definitely think I’ll have to buy another bag of cobbles to fill it up a bit more – I’ll put it on my list!

There’s been more sock progress …

The heel has been turned and I’m actually way down the foot now and almost ready for the toes.  Astrid is demonstrating toes, just in case you weren’t sure what they were.

And continuing her “Cat In … ” series (you’ll notice we’ve expanded the brief from the confines of a box) …

I’ve told her that the call from the Tate Modern about her exhibition will be coming any day now.  She’s very excited 🙂

Thank you for another lovely post. I’m enjoying the Astrid photos very much. We lost our cat 4 years ago and despite being cat lovers, we have not got another as yet. Our daughter has two and we share in those.

Just had a lovely morning catching up on your posts that I’d missed….Ross tested positive for Covid last Monday and then very kindly shared his bugs so I tested positive on Thursday although I knew Wednesday afternoon that I hadn’t escaped it no matter how careful we’d been! This is the first dose for both of us-we thought we’d been lucky to escape it for so long but our luck ran out 😢
A good excuse to curl up with a quilt and do nothing for a few days….I must be starting to feel better though as I’ve done a bit more of Blue Tit socks…and caught up on all your Blogtobers 🥰 thankyou for a lovely mrning’s reading ❤️

I love Astrid and her posing. the sock looks lovely and so nice the plants have survived their first frost – we had one for the past two nights too – exciting – autumn at last. The pond is lovely – I had a bag of those white pebbles leftover from the bottom of a fence project and have just found out that my husband has used them up elsewhere – too heavy to post anyway. xx
