Blogtober 2022 : Day 29

A tall glass of hot chocolate on a cafe table

I went to the Stitch Station in Great Sankey this morning to catch up with a couple of friends.

It’s a lovely cafe and they make a fantastic hot chocolate there – and it featured in last year’s Blogtober as I was asked to officially open the cafe and the upstairs “Stitched Up” yarn store.  I can’t believe it’s been a whole year since that day … here I am with the scissors and the Stitch Station mascot, Wool I Am, and Di who is the cafe owner.

Christine is wearing a blue and white dress and blue leggings and is standing next to Diane who is wearing a pink and orange top, jeans and a grey apron. They are both outside the white front door of the Stitch Station.

The cafe has gone from strength to strength over the year, offering workshops and knit n natter sessions and in these tough times for shop owners, I am delighted to be able to go back to meet up with my friends at a place that is central to us all.  Di has written an anniversary blog post over on the Stitch Station website which you can read here.

There are many things to be grateful for, and for me, this is one of them!

Nothing better than hot chocolate and a knit and natter. Glad it’s successful. B
