This pattern was designed especially for the 2025 West Yorkshire Spinners Christmas yarn, Mulled Wine. You can read the blog post about this pattern and the yarn here.
Nutmeg is a lace and rib socks pattern, inspired by the swirling, spiralling steam on a mug of mulled wine. Knitted from the cuff down, the lace panel has both charts and written instructions and continues to the end of the gusset after which the rest of the foot is knitted in rib.
The heel is a heel flap and gusset type heel; the ribbing on the rest of the sock will mean that the sock will stretch even for wider feet so this sock should be perfect for any size.
