Patty Lyons’ Knitting Bag of Tricks giveaway results

A book called Patty Lyons' Knitting Bag of Tricks lies on a wooden coffee table next to an orange mug of tea and a mince pie on a yellow plate

Thank you so much to everyone who took the time to leave a comment for last week’s giveaway!

If you missed it, last week’s post was a review of Mindful Knitting by Chloé Elizabeth Birch and Patty Lyons’ Knitting Bag of Tricks (Amazon links), and the publishers of Patty Lyons’ book had kindly given me an extra copy to give away.  I asked you what your favourite item to knit was and I had a lovely time reading your answers!  Lots of socks (as I had hoped!) but also so many other projects to be loved and cherished – heirloom blankets, clothes for babies and toddlers, accessories to brighten up someone’s day and keep you warm – I had a huge smile on my face every time a new comment came in!

Sadly, though I only have one copy of the book to give away and so the trusty Random.org widget generator was pressed into service once again and this is the result that it came up with …

A blog comment from Carole

Carole – it’s you!  I do hope you’ve fixed your bookcase now as you’re about to get another book to add to it! 🙂

Can you drop me an email please (the contact box is on the left hand side) and then I can get it posted out to you?

Thank you again to everyone who took part, and I’m sorry I couldn’t send you all a book!  I do hope you’ve had plenty of time over the Christmas holidays to sit with your knitting! xx

Congrats to Carole. Happy New Year. If i can conquer your mitten pattern they may become my new favorite thing to knit. I had put the books on my Christmas wish list and did receive them. My only problem is the printing is very light making it difficult to read. Do wonder if I have a bad copy.

I’ve had a look at mine, Charlotte, and the Patty Lyons book print is quite pale, and the print in both of them is quite small. I’m not sure that you have a bad copy but I do think you need to look at them in good light xx

I wish you a very good 2023 Christine – Christmas was interesting with my husband deciding to start stripping the wallpaper in our kitchen to make way for new tiles and worktops sometime in the new year. Any cooking done was a bit of a challenge! Next year my daughter wants another headband (or 2), more scrunchies and I have to unpick a sweater I no longer enjoy wearing as it is. Husband happy with the sweater he received.

Oh goodness, that may not have been the best timing – although well done for managing to get the cooking done! It sounds like your knitting year is well-planned already! 🙂 xx

This is a go to book. Bought 2 and her little bag as well one for me and one for my stepdaughter. Met her at a knit retreat in Ontario where she embellished the book process. $ well spent
