Super Socks Book

Super Socks is the book version of the online Sockalong tutorials.

The information contained in the book is the same as online, but the format has been altered so that the tutorials are organised by needle type (short circular, DPN, long circular) instead of by sock section as the online tutorials are.  You can see a bit more of what's inside the book in this post here - it's always useful to see the layout and whether you think it will suit you!

Super Socks in paperback form is available online, in some yarn shops (do get in touch if you own a yarn shop and would like to sell it) and by post directly from me.  It's ideal for those who can't or don't want to be online all the time, and you can make notes as you go along on both the e-book and the paperback versions if you want to.

A signed copy of the book is £12.99 plus postage to anywhere in the world.  I've tried to keep the postage as low as I can and the current prices are UK: £14.99, Europe: £18.50 and rest of the world: £21.00.

If you would like a Sockalong badge as well, please email me so that I can send an invoice with the right postage - don't worry if you forget as I'll refund any extra postage to you.

Please make sure that you choose the right option for where you live from the drop-down list below.  You need to click on the blue arrows to see the list.

Super Socks book including postage

UK mail should arrive within a couple of days of posting, and European and rest of the world postage is (according to the Royal Mail) 5-7 working days.

IMPORTANT!  You might see a link for a free PDF copy of my book on the internet.  This is a scam to get your email address and personal details so please do not give any information to these people.  They have no connection with me and I have not authorised anybody to give away any free PDF copies.  If you want to access the Sockalong tutorials for free, you just have to click on the "Join the Sockalong" tab or photo right here on the blog and you can access them all safely from here.

The paperback book is also available from Amazon and from Barnes & Noble, and the ebook is available for Kindle, Nook and Kobo.

Don't forget that you don't need to own an e-reader to be able to download the ebook version - there are free apps that you can download to your computer to read any e-books.

  1. I want to learn to knit socks and love your writing on your blog and the ones on Attic24. Do you knit continental? My big concern is that I won't be able to understand the techniques. I'm in a tiny group of very experienced (not me) knitters but they are totally at a loss to help with continental.

    1. Hi Lou, it really shouldn't cause you a problem to knit continental when you knit your socks - you're doing the same stitches but just holding your yarn in the other hand. If you have a look at the tutorials (click the Join the Sockalong picture at the top right hand corner) then you'll see lots of photos all the way through the tutorials; it doesn't matter which hand you hold your yarn in as you'll still work the stitches in the same way. The online tutorials are the same info as the book but set out slightly differently (by sock section whereas the book is by needle type) so they will at least give you an idea :-) xx
