Christmas Eve
The gift socks are finished, the mince pies are in the oven and I’m ready for Christmas.
It’s another strange year for those who celebrate and I hope that you are able to spend the holiday with the people that you love and celebrate in the way you want to.

Well done on the mince pies and general preparedness; I’ve done all the veg ready for tomorrow (never done that before), so I’m feeling very smug and ready for an afternoon of sock knitting while listening to the festival of nine lessons and carols on radio 4.

Wishing you and yours a merry and peaceful Christmas and a healthy New year; today my grandson (age 7) asked me to make him some socks…I fear he wants them completed before we return up North so I’ll be doing a lot of knitting this week! Thank you for your inspirational book and blog; socks have been my go-to these last couple of years, still basic stocking stitch but perhaps I’ll try a fancy pattern in 2022!

I’m slow getting on the sock bandwagon, but have high hopes for 2022, as I’ve learned to cast on the John Anderson Kilt socks on a very long circular needle and am READY TO LEARN THE TAAT sock knitting skill!!
