Looking for a shortie version of the Basic 4ply Socks pattern?  This one is for you!

The Basic 4ply Shortie Socks pattern has five cuff variations which fit with the Basic 4ply Socks pattern – they’re the same as the basic socks but shorter!  What this means is that if you’re new to socks or you need some help, you can use the Winwick Mum Sockalong tutorials which will talk you through every step of the way, so even if these will be your first socks, you’ll be able to knit them and I will help you.

The Shortie Socks pattern, like the Basic 4ply Socks pattern, is written for one size so that you can customise it to any foot size or length that you need to.  Information to help you do this is in the tension tutorial of the Sockalong tutorials – that’s where you can find the Sock Stitch Calculation which is your guide to knitting socks for any feet you want to!

Don’t need tutorials?  You can cast on straight away as the pattern is easy to follow and if you need to make adjustments, advice and links are given to help.

This is a cuff down sock pattern with a heel flap and gusset.  The heel flap is worked in heel stitch for a comfy, cushioned heel, and the toes are grafted with Kitchener stitch.

You’re going to love these shortie socks!

Advice is given on how to adjust the pattern and how to calculate the right number to cast on for the perfect fit.
