Winwick Mum Sockalong Knit n Natter Meet Up

What are you doing on Saturday 4 November? There’s a Winwick Mum knit n natter meet up planned … do come along if you’re free!  You don’t have to be a knitter, bring any craft project you like and meet some new friends!

It’s lovely to spend time with like-minded people but not always that easy to get to a knit n natter group, especially if you’re working during the week.  I’ve booked the Church Hall here in Winwick (easy to get to by car, train or bus) which has plenty of space for us to spread our projects out and chat.  I’ve chosen a Saturday to try to make it easier for people to get here who wouldn’t normally be able to be make it.

Here’s what you need to know:

When is it?

It’s on Saturday 4 November 2017 from 10.30am to 1.30pm.  It’s a drop-in event so you don’t have to be there for the whole time.

Where is it?

It’s going to be at Winwick Church Hall, Church Walk, Winwick, Warrington, WA2 8TA.

How to get to Winwick: We’re just outside Warrington in Cheshire, M62 J9 and M6 J21a or 22.  The nearest train stations are Newton-le-Willows and Warrington Central or Warrington Bank Quay.  Buses numbered 19, 22 and 360 stop outside Winwick Church very close to the Church Hall.  There is a small car park at the Church Hall for anyone driving.

Anything else I need to know?

There is a hire charge for the Church Hall so there will be an entrance fee of £3.00.  Tea and coffee will be provided, bring cake to share if you’d like to!

Hope to see you there!

Oh Christine! I would love to come but, alas, I live in the USA in Texas 🙁 I know you all will have a great time, and I'm terribly envious 🙂

Enjoy your time together, getting to meet and know one another.

I think it would be a very long journey from Texas just for a knit n natter, but it would be lovely if you could come! You'll have to get up very early and knit at the same time! xx

It's sounds like a lovely way to spend a Saturday. Wish I lived there! I'll be thinking of you from here in California! Pat xx

Wish I could be there – it was so good to see you and meet like minded friends in July at Black Sheep Wools! Hope you have a lovely time!

wish i could come and I know where Winwick is. I used to come to the hospital there for training about 30 years ago. I still have a friend in Culceth . I live on the other coast in the NE. what a shame

    • Winwick Mum says:

Oh you are just a bit too far away, Brenda, but I think it's fab that you know where Winwick is! The hospital was a bit of a grim place, wasn't it? I only ever went there once for a training session with a work's netball team (just the once for the team was enough too!) and found the place quite unnerving so I'm not sure I'd have liked to have been a patient there. xx

Congratulations to both you and Lucy for your wonderful blogs and work on Yarndale. I loved traveling along with you as you explored London especially that area with the 3D murals. That dragon was great. We have a cousin who lived in Trawdon and I keep urging her to attend Yarndale but she is not a crafty person and so far I've been unsuccessful. I would so love to attend myself but live in California which is much too far away!

    • Winwick Mum says:

Thank you! The murals were fab, weren't they? I wondered what the history behind those was, and why somebody thought they would be a good idea to put on the walls. I always like to know that kind of thing! 🙂 xx

I can't make this one-the family are coming for the weekend but I do hope you organise another on a Saturday because I am only in Cheshire and would love to come
