See you there!

By the time you read this, I’ll be on my way to Yorkshire to help set up for this year’s Yarndale festival.  I love the setting up as much as the festival itself and ooh, it’s going to be a good one this year!  I’ve been very excited to read the exhibitor list and see that there are going to lots of new exhibitors as well as familiar faces – don’t worry, I’ll be sure to tell you all about it (whether you like it or not!) when I get back.

Safely in the back of my car are huge bags full of an amazing number of pairs of socks ready to go up on the Yarndale Sock Line.  I’ve uploaded the photos for all the socks that I have to the Yarndale Sock Line Pinterest board and the rest that come in over the weekend will be logged and photographed when I get home.  Don’t worry if you have socks for the Yarndale Sock Line and didn’t post them, I’ve got plenty of extra pegs and you can hang them up on the Sock Line yourself.

If you’re coming to Yarndale, do drop by the Knit n Natter lounge to see the Yarndale Sock Line in all it’s woolly glory and to say hello – I’ll be in there all weekend with Lucy who always brings all her blankets so between us with our socks and our blankets we’re a cosy place to visit! 🙂  There’s an informal Winwick Mum Sockalong meet-up at 2pm on both days organised through the Facebook groups if you’d like to catch up with other Sockalongers too.

Hope to see you over the weekend!

If you click on the photos that didn't load on the main page the photos of the socks will be there as I know they all uploaded. We've had socks from all over the world again this year – Australia, New Zealand, USA, France, Germany, Spain as well as the UK so it's a truly international Sock Line this year! 🙂 xx

They could well have done – Lucy had another pile of envelopes for me today which I've still to open so that's my job for later on this evening. I'll look out for them xx

Oh, it's okay Christine. I see them now. For some reason the page wasn't loading properly and it was just showing about 30 of them repeated again and again. Hope you have a lovely two days and will look forward to seeing your photographs 🙂 Eilidh x

Hello Christine, Unless you have more socks to upload, it looks like mine didn't arrive, which is a shame as I posted them in the middle of August. I also included a card saying how much I enjoyed your wonderful book and that this was the first pair of socks that I've knitted, thanks to all your clear instructions! I love your blog and I'll attempt more socks, and hopefully I'll be able to send you some next year. Best wishes, Caroline.

Hi Caroline, I had another stack of parcels to open when I got to Yarndale as they had arrived just after I'd collected the last pile from Lucy so she kept them for me. Your socks could well be in there – my job next week is to go back through all the socks that arrived over the Yarndale weekend so I'll have a good look for your pair. I am sure they won't be lost, just sitting waiting for me to find them in a large mail sack! xx

I've got them, they're here safely xx
